The human givens therapy approach uses scientifically-backed techniques to overcome a wide range of conditions caused by emotional difficulties.
One of my techniques is guided imagery. The power of visualisation is becoming increasingly widespread not just in therapy, but also in sport. This method has proven success in sportspeople, and in many other areas like relaxation, visualising success, exam success, public speaking and more.
If you’d like to arrange therapy with guided imagery, or treatments for any of the services I provide below, please contact Deborah Potts Counselling today.
My range of services includes the following:
- Anxiety (stress and panic attacks)
- Depression
- Trauma (PTSD and secondary trauma)
- Phobias
- Self-harm
- Anger
- Addictions
- Obsessions (OCD)
- I'm not sure what's wrong, can you help?
Introducing super Noodle
Meet Noodle, my lovable Cockapoo, who can join us for your therapy sessions, should you wish.
Some clients find having a “therapy dog” to hand beneficial; it often helps those suffering from trauma or PTSD. Noodle loves being around people and is really friendly. But, of course, we realise not everyone loves dogs, so Noodle will only make an appearance if you ask.
I offer counselling and trauma treatment free of charge to armed forces veterans through the National Charity PTSD Resolution (www.ptsdresolution.org). So, please, if you know any ex-service personnel, TA personnel or service families who may benefit, do not hesitate to contact me in the strictest confidence.
