As a registered nurse and health visitor of 35 years, 22 of those in the Army, I’ve seen first-hand the effects that emotional difficulties and traumatic life events can have on individuals and their families. Everyday activities that most of us take for granted can cause severe stress.

Caring for soldiers and their families was followed by four years in an international school, working with children and young adults. I then took a public health degree and became a health visitor.

This rewarding life experience was incredibly helpful while I trained as a human givens counsellor, and continues to inspire me. It’s made me passionate about helping young people and adults to build a “personal toolbox” to empower them to handle difficult situations, build confidence and resilience and feel life is enjoyable and rewarding again.

During my two years of training in human givens psychotherapy, I focused on swift practical and psychological interventions that are effective in reducing emotional distress and behavioural difficulties.

Now a qualified integrative counsellor psychotherapist, I offer short and long term counselling in a discreet setting near Ipswich. Working one to one, I give you the time that you need, when you need it, creating a bespoke therapy for you.
